Is It Worth Serving God?
In Malachi 3:13–18, God’s people ask a question many of us have felt: “What’s the use of serving God?” When obedience is difficult, wicked people seem to prosper, and life does not turn out the way we hoped, it can be tempting to question whether God is really good.
In this sermon, Pastor Steve explains why God’s goodness is not defined by what we gain from Him. Instead, Malachi points us to the God who sees, hears, remembers, and treasures His people. Ultimately, our confidence does not rest on our performance before God, but on the perfect life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Because Christ was not spared the judgment our sin deserved, everyone who trusts in Him can know that they belong to God now and will be spared on the coming day of judgment.
