Mission, Vision, Values

Our Mission

The mission of Bethel Baptist Church is the same mission Jesus gave his followers: to go and make more and better disciples of Jesus Christ.

Our Vision

The vision of Bethel Baptist Church is to create a community of authentic believers who imitate Christ's relationship with God,  God's people, and God's mission.

Our Core Values

Biblical Authority
We humbly submit to God's word as our highest authority in all matters of faith and practice. It is the foundation of all that we say and do and our guide in every decision we make. As a church, we exist not simply to put together programs, but to truly encounter the living God through reading, preaching, teaching, and obeying the Holy Scriptures.

Joshua 1:8, Psalm 19:7-11, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 4:12, James 1:22
Whole-Life Transformation
We don't just want our people to check "church attender" off their to-do list. We want to walk alongside one another in being transformed into the image of Christ, in every aspect of our lives. Whether it's in our work, in our families, in our hobbies, or in our relationships, we strive for every part of who we are to reflect God's character.

Proverbs 3:5-6, Romans 12:2, 1 Corinthians 10:31, Galatians 2:20, 1 Peter 1:15-16
Committed Church Family
We believe the local church isn't meant to be a spectator event, but a family where people connect deeply, carry each other's burdens, challenge one another, and pray for one another. We encourage all our church family to get involved. At Bethel, you're meant to be all in, committed to our church body.

Acts 2:42-47, Romans 12:4-5, Galatians 6:2, Ephesians 4:11-16, Hebrews 10:24-25
Compassionate Service
We believe true faith expresses itself through acts of service and meeting the needs of our community. Why? Because even our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ said that He came to serve, not to be served. Therefore, it's our mission to shine Christ's light through loving service.

Matthew 25:40, Mark 9:41, John 13:15-16, Galatians 5:13, Philippians 2:3-5
Purposeful Hospitality
We want everyone we come into contact with, whether members or visitors, to feel welcomed and known. We are people who prepare to welcome others and pursue excellence in everything we do. Our church is a place where anybody can join and find community and purpose in their lives.
